What this site is built to do
CarCodes organizes warning symbols, source-scoped trouble-code descriptions, manufacturer documents and non-invasive owner checks for US vehicles. The intended sequence is simple: check immediate safety, identify the exact vehicle, save the full warning and scan, then ask which test confirms the cause. A part is considered only after that chain has evidence.
The research is assembled by Kim Minseong. The site does not claim to be a vehicle manufacturer, licensed repair facility, certified technician or live VIN eligibility service. We keep official source facts separate from editorial checklists and mark uncertainty when a model-year or repair branch is not established.
