Check current applicability

Ask the manufacturer or shop to confirm the latest revision, VIN, engine, production date and warranty status. The original document can describe a narrow diagnostic branch.

Read the condition before the repair line

Manufacturer communications can specify a narrow year, engine, production date, code combination or freeze-frame condition. A repair step in the document is meant for vehicles that meet those gates and for a qualified technician. It is not a general instruction to every owner with a similar model name.

The table above contains historical documents from the research package. Newer revisions may exist, and a bulletin is not automatically a recall or free repair. Ask a dealer or shop to check the current document against your VIN and the actual symptom before authorizing parts.
