How to interpret the count
NHTSA returns campaign rows for the year, make and model entered. A row does not show whether a particular VIN is included, whether the remedy is complete or whether a repair is available today. Open the official VIN tool for that decision.
Check the original record
Use the campaign number and component label to discuss the issue with the manufacturer or dealer. The API can change and a technical service bulletin is a different kind of document from a safety recall.
